MUvMAS - A Desirable Concierge

Spectacular concierge is an employee who lives on the assumptions of an apartment building or a hotel (quotation involved) and serves guests with responsibilities similar to those of a butler. While the phenomenon and the term are most common in France, they can be understood elsewhere, for example in the French-influenced neighbourhood of Heliopolis in Cairo, Egypt. A similar billet, known as the portero, is in Spanish speaking realms. In knightly times, the concierge was an military officer of the King who was appointed with doing judge, with the assistant of his bailiffs. The term concierge developed from the French Comte Des Cierges, The Steward of the Candles, who tended to jawing lords in rooks of the chivalric earned run average.

In 19th century and early 20th century apartment buildings, particularly in Genus Paris, the concierge often had a little flat on the ground floor and was able to monitor all approaches and goings. However, such scopes are now highly uncommon ; most concierges in little or middle-sized edifices have been superseded by the parttime services of door-staff. (quotation needed) These are less pricy and less intrusive. Some larger apartment buildings or groupings of edifices retain the use of a concierge. The concierge may, for instance, keep the mail of absented habitants ; be committed with the flat keys to deal with emergencies when occupants are absent, supply info to occupants and guests, render admittance control, apply formulas, and act as a intercessor for resident physicians and management, when direction is not on site.
